Help Us Promote

ChicagoStories.org is a nonprofit, public interest project that depends entirely on Chicago allies and journalism networks to spread the word about this great reporting resource. If you want to help with outreach please consider emailing a link to the site to a relevant mailing list. Some sample text is below. BCCing cmw@newstips.org is appreciated so we can understand site traffic better (and thank you!).

MEDIA ALERT: NATO Summit Help Desk

Sample email

Attention journalists covering the G8/NATO summits:

ChicagoStories.org is a resource for journalists covering Chicago. We have story leads and sources lists for you.

ChicagoStories.org connects reporters to sources for Chicago background pieces. We also have story leads and briefings on how Chicago tells the story of the broader NATO and G8 agenda. Our goal is more complex storytelling than podiums and protests, and a chance to connect journalists to the rich array of local sources available to them while reporting around the summits. The site is an independent, nonprofit effort by The Chicago Council on Global Affairs and the Community Media Workshop.

We want to help you cover Chicago. Reach out to me with questions or go to ChicagoStories.org

Cheers,
